WE Training Camp in the "Drôme provencale"(with maps)

For the second time of January, French runners came to the south of France to train on mediterranean terrain. Sun and heat were with us, and it was very pleasant to run with such conditions.
And the program? Saturday was planned a sprint, a middle and a night race. On sunday a tranemo was waiting for us.
Let's back on the Sprint. Organised in a typical old mediterranean village named Montbrun les Bains, it was a very hard race. The map was difficult to read due to a lots of walls, and route choices were hard to see, because we had to do big detours. Moreover, there were some slope wich put you in red zone and it was thus more difficult to read correctly the right way. Thierry won the race with a time of 16'07.
Middle distance was a test for the training camp in Spain. Terrain was mostly open, with a lot of sandy and mudy gullys(ravines).
Night race was on the same map as the middle.

The race of sunday was a tranemo. It's a long distance with forking. On the first turn, you have to take the full line and on some controls (as the 2nd), you choosed blue or red loop. The runner following you has to choose the other color. Consequently it mix and separate the groups. On the second turn you have a smaller course because you take the dotted line, and you have to choose the color you didn't take at the first turn.
There were a lot of climb on the race. It went difficult to run in every especially at the end. Thierry had a strong start and nobody could stay behind him. Finally he finished in 1h30, 6 min in front of François Gonon and 9 min in front of Philippe Adamski.
