Amélie Chataing won the sprint, at the World University Orienteering Championships !
She had a solid race and took the lead after 2/3 of the race.
Philippe Adamski's silver medal in WUOC 2006 in Slovakia was until there the best O'Zone result at WUOC... But now it's girl time ;-)

Kalevan Rasti took the victory at last Tiomila on sunday. 2 frenchman were in the winning team.
Philippe Adamski had a strong 8th leg, starting in the second position, and finishing also 2nd. Fabian Hertner ran a very solid 9th leg and give the relay to Thierry who finished the job.
2 other frenchman took the relay in the lead : JB Bourrin for OK Hällen (4th leg) and Vincent Coupat (Halden SK) who also came back 1st. Damien and Kristiansand took also the overall 2nd place.
7 french in the top 10 for the men, it will be hard to beat next year

5 french orienteers are running for 4 of the favourite teams , at Tiomila, this week end.
Damien Renard, only frenchman who won tiomila (2008), is defending Kristiansand's double victory.
Philippe Adamski & Thierry Gueorgiou will wear the red&black top of Kalevan Rasti.
Vincent Coupat will be on the 6th leg for Halden, whereas François Gonon is IFK Göteborg anchorman.

Last week end , French test races took place in the famous Auvergne terrains. Categories M&W 16 to M&W21 were concerned.
Saturday Morning was planned a middle distance in the beautiful Lac Pavin.
Thierry had a really clear margin in the men's category. After him , a bench of youth runners (Philippe Adamski, Fred Tranchand, Vinc' Coupat & Thibaut Poupard) beated the "historicals" Gonon and Renard.
Amélie Chataing won the women's category, ahead of Karine D'harreville and Céline Dodin
Results
At the afternoon's sprint, Philippe was close to beat Thierry, just 4 seconds behind him, while Céline Dodin was the fastest girl.

The real challenge of the week-end was the long distance, in the Vulcania's map.
Thierry won again , ahead of a "new long distance runner", Damien Renard. Philippe was 3rd
Céline Dodin took the victory, ahead of her clubmate Mélanie D'Harreville , and Amélie Chataing.
